Popcorn
This week I went simple with Real Popcorn (Bittman 81-82). It's one of my favorite snacks, and it definitely tastes the best when made on the stove. I like Bittman's trick with testing the oil heat by starting with a few kernels in the bottom of the pot and waiting for them to pop. It turned out great with a slight addition of salt at the end. Next time, I might use less oil or more kernels, since it was a bit more oily than I expected. What a perfect study snack for a Sunday night...I'll never go back to the microwave popcorn again!
