I thought that I uploaded this post last week, but it looks like I must have forgotten to hit the save button, so here it is! I made brownies (p 717) last week, and was pleasantly surprised how easy they were to make from scratch. The recipe in Bittman makes brownies just the way I like them, sweet, chocolatey and dense. Overall I wish they would have been a little bit thicker but with the same consistency that they had, which was soft and chewy. This is my second time baking from scratch using Bittman and I think that I enjoy baking much more than I like cooking, probably because I get to lick the batter when I'm waiting for end result to cook! Next time I plan on making some chocolate sauce to go on top of them!
