Angel Food Cake

I asked a friend what she would like as a treat for her birthday and her answer was Angel Food Cake. Thankfully Mark Bittman has a recipe just for that! The recipe is found on page 725 in the soft cover edition. This was the first time I made an angel food cake; the recipe asked to use cake flour instead of all purpose flour. I have never heard of such thing so I had to go to the store to find some. I am not sure what the difference between the two are.
The cake turned out well some fresh strawberries and some whip cream! The cake was denser than what angel food cake is typically like, which I was told from another friend that I mixed it too much...? I will have to look that up as well. But everyone still enjoyed it!
