Roasted Asparagus

It's asparagus season, everybody! Since I've only ever steamed asparagus myself, I figured this would be the perfect time to try something new. I flipped through the Bittman book and found a couple really simple recipes and decided on one of them. I followed the roasting instructions.


The book says to serve with lemon but instead I sprinkled them with a little bit of lemon pepper seasoning before they went into the oven.


I kinda flipped them once while they were cooking and kept them in the oven for about 10 minutes total, until they were just starting to brown. They ended up being super tender and way more tasty than I remember. I think this will have to be something that I make more often!
